Meir Svirsky is a noted author and lecturer of the Laws of Family Purity and women's issues, among other topics in Judaism. In addition, she has trained many outreach professionals to be kallah teachers.
After a successful career in journalism, Mrs. Svirsky came to Israel in 1984. She graduated from EYAHT, Aish HaTorah's College of Jewish Studies for Women, where she studied under Rav Yitzchak Berkovits.
Mrs. Svirsky received a Bachelor's of Art in philosophy from the University of Michigan and a Master's of Art in philosophy from the University of Texas at Austin. Mrs. Svirsky is married to Efim Svirsky, an internationally renowned lecturer and author of ''Connection: Emotional and Spiritual Growth Through Experiencing God's Presence.'' They live with their children in the Jewish Quarter of the Old City in Jerusalem.
